Residential Move

Many different elements come into consideration when evaluating the total cost of a move. Fortunately, the client can control most of these.

Here are some of the questions you should ask prior to the move:

  • Will you be 100% ready when the movers show up?
  • Are all your goods packed in boxes?
  • Can the truck park close to your house?
  • Do you own some items that will be difficult to move around?

The answers to these questions are determinant in the final cost of a local move.

LOCAL MOVING RATES

All local moving fees are based on rates by the hour (Fragile items packing service can be requested by the client). Billing starts upon moving team arrival on initial site and stops at the end of the complete unloading at the final destination, plus one hour for the team to return to the office.

INCLUDED IN LOCAL MOVES:

  1. Insurance coverage for handling and transport
  2. Disassembly and reassembly of beds and wood furniture
  3. Disconnection of appliances: oven, refrigerator, washer & dryer, etc.
  4. Protection of all of your furniture during the move
  5. Protection of floors in your old & new residence during the move
  6. Blankets, tape and shrink wrapping
  7. Plastic wrapping for furniture and sofas

ADDITIONNAL FEES OF LOCAL MOVES

Are also included in the normal fee: special packaging of glass and fragile items. Very heavy objects, such as pianos, pool table, etc., will cost extra (when climbing stairs are involved).
